Work Control and Support

Work requests are issued through the work control office; approximately 225 work orders are received each week.  All work orders are telephoned in, submitted online through the Facilities website, e-mailed, or faxed.  The office is staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to accommodate service requests.  After 5 p.m. and on weekends, a small staff is available to handle urgent requests, which are defined as work required to eliminate hazard to life or safety, or to prevent disruption of scheduled events.  Support Staff members are available throughout the day to answer questions, take work orders, and help with any issues that arise.  The office staff consists of a receptionist, work control coordinator, accounts payable specialist and the administrative assistant to the associate vice president.
