Custodial Services

Our mission is to provide a safe and clean environment for all students, staff, faculty, and visitors. We set out to accomplish this by focusing on safety, hospitality, quality, and efficiency.

Our department consists of over one hundred dedicated staff members who provide service Monday through Friday during the day, with limited service offered in the evenings and on weekends.

  • Recycling
    Custodial and Environmental Services is excited to be working closely with the Office of Sustainability and Rethink Waste to improve our recycling initiatives.
  • Pest Control

    University pest control services are provided by a licensed and full-service pest control company.

    Bats should be reported to the Campus Police at (804) 289-8715.

    Suspicion of bed bugs should be reported to a member of the office of Residence Life and Housing.

    All other pest control requests should be communicated to University Facilities at (804) 289-8600.

  • Waste Removal
    We utilize an outside contractor to remove landfill and recycling from our campus. Continued partnership with the contractors provides us with vital information that is shared with the Office of Sustainability. This information is leveraged to determine the location of containers, frequency of service and with monitoring waste diversion trends.
